The Pentair EC-520556 IntelliChlor Salt Chlorinator Power Center operates with a Pentair IntelliChlor Cell and can be used with the IC20, IC40 or IC60 cell (sold separately) based on your pool size. The IntelliChlor Salt Chlorinator uses ordinary salt to produce all the chlorine your pool needs to automatically sanitize your pool safely and effectively IntelliChlor produces the same sanitation performance as manually adding chlorine while eliminating all the drawbacks of manual chlorination.
The IntelliChlor Power Center converts an AC electrical current to the low voltage DC current that the salt cell requires to operate and perform the electrolysis. Since the power supply is connected with the pool pump’s electrical source the cell will only operate while the pump is running. The system’s transformer, fuse and connection to the cell are housed in the power center along with the 110 VAC wiring configuration with the 36 V DC output cable to the cell controller.
